Solskjaer reportedly set to offload this Man Utd star player before January transfer closes

According to talkSPORT, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to be preparing for life as Manchester United’s full-time manager and wants to start by offloading deadwood. This is according to talkSPORT host Jim White, who is one of many to note the change in mood at Old Trafford since Solskjaer took the reins following Jose Mourinho’s dismissal. When given the job in December, it was made clear it was in a caretaker capacity, with the club saying a decision on a full-time boss will be made at the end of the season. However, having won six successive games, the 45-year-old’s audition for the full-time role couldn’t have gone any better.
“Solskjaer isn’t just putting his own mark on the field, he’s doing it off the field, too, which makes you think this might not be a stop gap measure,” Jim said. “If you haven’t noticed, United players are turning up and leaving games in shirt, tie and suits and that’s because, I hear from inside the club, Solskjaer wants them to look and feel that they do indeed represent Manchester United,” adding the Norwegian already knows his best team and is even preparing to rid the club of unwanted players. “The Marcus Rashford goal [against Tottenham] came straight off the training pitch.
“They’ve been hitting Rashford with the diagonal ball over and over again. That suggests Ole prefers Rashford to the mobility of [Romelu] Lukaku. “It’s now become apparent Marouane Fellaini can go amid talk Solskjaer is unhappy with his attitude,” he said, acknowledging the midfielder has been on the outside looking in ever since Mourinho was sacked. “It’s my understanding he could go in this window and so might Scott McTominay, but it’s clear that Fellaini, and specifically Fellaini, is on borrowed time.”
