It is fair to say that the whole idea of the UEFA Nations League is that there are no easy draws and Spain learned as much on Wednesday when handed a group containing Croatia and England.
The competition begins in September and runs through to July 2019, with a final phase played out between the winners of the four top-tier groups.
Group 1 has Germany, France and the Netherlands together with Group 2 containing Iceland, Switzerland and Belgium.
Group 3 sees Poland, Italy and Portugal face off.
Each side in the highest stage of the Nations League will recoup at least 15 million euros in prize money with a route into the European Championships proper also on offer.
The four highest ranked teams in each tier who failed to qualify for Euro 2020 will be drawn into their own play-offs, held in March 2020, to compete for the final spot at the competition.
