The former Barcelona captain's No.6 went to Inigo Martinez, while Dani Ceballos inherits Silva's No.21 and Raul Albiol will wear Pique's No.3.
Meanwhile, Alvaro Morata has recovered No.7 and Saul Ninguez, previous owner of the number, has switched to No.8.
The most experienced players of La Roja got to choose first and although Martinez was one of the last to pick, he decided to carry the burden of wearing Spain's emblematic captain's number.
