Angel Maria Villar, president of the Spanish FA (RFEF) will soon resign from his post with his re-election bid set to be decided on May 22.
Still a member of the FIFA Council and a key figure within UEFA, the Spaniard could be deposed by Jorge Perez, who has held the role of RFEF secretary general, or president of the coach's training centre CENAFE, Miguel Angel Galan.
Meanwhile, Villar has ordered an investigation into why a 1.2 million euro payment sent to Haiti to help build a football academy was never actually used to construct the project.
