Barcelona were triumphant against Huesca over the weekend in the Laliga Santander with a resounding 8-2 win at the Camp Nou. The Blaugrana came back from a goal down in the first half to beat Leo Franco’s men in a ten goals thriller.
Barcelona forward, Luis Suarez has criticized the adrenaline loss to goal celebrations which has come with the introduction of new technology in football VAR in La Liga Santander this season despite benefitting from the technology on Sunday.
Luis Suarez scored Barcelona's third in an 8-2 win against Huesca but it initially looked like the goal would be ruled out after Jordi Alba was adjudged to be offside by the assistant referee.
However, an intervention from VAR helped establish that Alba was onside before playing the ball and Suarez's strike, his first of the season, stood.
"When there are doubts over [a goal] and VAR's used, you lose your desire to celebrate," Suarez told reporters after the game. "There's no longer that adrenaline."
It was the second time in two games that Barca have had a VAR decision go in their favour after Real Valladolid's stoppage-time equaliser was rightly ruled out last weekend.
"There's a reason it's being used," Suarez added. "It's fairer. We are seeing that in every game. You can't make mistakes because everything is so controlled."
