Sunshine Stars players have staged a protest over the non-payment of their five-months salaries, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. The players started the protest from their camp site and marched on to the governor's office where they were addressed by the deputy governor, Lasisi Oluboyo on Friday. Oluboyo, Completesportsnigeria.com learnt, promised the protesting players that the state government as a matter of urgency will look into the issue and ensure the payment of their salaries in the coming days. The players had embarked on the same protests last season and the previous one to press home their demands. Sunshine Stars have also lost several of their top stars to clubs within and outside the country in recent years due to poor welfare package at the club.
