The UEFA Champions league draw was done yesterday in which all the 32 teams that qualified get to know their opponents in the group stages of the competition.

Super Eagles stars Henry Onyekuru, Chigozie Awaziem and Bryan Idowu clubs were all drawn in the same group which is Group D.

The group comprises of Bryan Idowu’s Lokomotiv Moscow, Awaziem’s Portuguese side FC Porto and Henry Onyekuru’s Turkish champions Galatasaray with German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 completing the group.

The first game in the group will be on the 18th of September 2018 as Onyekuru’s side Galatasaray will host Bryan Idowu’s Lokomotiv Moskva in Turkey while on Matchday two Awaziem’s FC Porto be play host to Onyekuru’s Galatasaray.

The matchday three and four will be a close encounter between the super Eagles stars as teams will play a back to back home and away matches which will be a consecutive game between Chigozie Awaziem and Bryan Idowu, with Idowu’s side being at home first before going to Portugal to face Awaziem’s side FC Porto in a reversed fixture.

The remaining fixture will be the reversed fixtures of matchday one and two.

With Group D having three Nigerian Super Eagles players in different clubs, it sure that a Nigerian will be playing in the second round of the UEFA Champions League this season.
