South African winger Surprise Ralani made a scoring comeback from injury for Swedish side Helsingborg. Ralani had been out of action since the end of the 2016 season in Sweden, missing out on his side’s campaign in the national Cup competition at the turn of the year. But he returned to action in a 3-1 friendly win over Danish top-flight side Nordsjælland, netting the third goal for his side. It is a timely return to fitness as Helsingborg, who suffered a shock relegation from the top-flight at the end of last season, start their bid for immediate promotion against Trelleborg on Saturday.

“It feels good. It's been a long wait. But getting 20 minutes was worth it. I look forward to building on this. I look forward to the league kicks off next week,” Ralani was quoted as saying in the Swedish newspaper Expressen. Helsingborg is also the new club of former Orlando Pirates defender Edwin Gyimah.
