Zlatan Ibrahimovic's supposed physical improvements when at Juventus were controversially linked to doping by ex-Sweden athletics coach Ulf Karlsson, with the Manchester United man winning a libel case against the claim.
Ordered by a court in Halstad to pay 2,500 euros as compensation, Karlsson will also have to pay a share of the costs of the case, with some deductions due to his freedom of the press defence.
The former coach made the accusation in April 2016 while on a panel discussion, also naming midfielder Albin Ekdal as a player who gained weight during his time at Juve.
"The court's opinion is that in the context of what was said Ulf Karlsson gave the impression that Zlatan was doping during his time at Juventus," said the judge.
