Real Madrid have had a game in hand ever since their away match against Celta Vigo was called off last month and they will have to wait until the final week of the LaLiga season to play it.
Due to severe weather, parts of the Estadio Balaidos roof were damaged and the LaLiga fixture had to be postponed, but both teams' progress in Europe has seen their schedules fill up.
As such, league president Javier Tebas has confirmed that it will be played in the midweek between the 37th and 38th rounds of action.
"Due to [the match being played in between the penultimate and final week], it will only be possible to unify the kick-off times of the final round of matches," Tebas told beIN SPORTS' '#TheXTRA' programme.
"[It won't be possible] to unify the kick-off times of the last two rounds."
He revealed that "some clubs have complained" about the fact that there will be so much uncertainty at that late stage of the season, but stressed that there was no other option due to the two teams' continental exploits.
