Marcelo got injured in their last group game against Serbia and thus missed their Round of 16 match against Mexico.
He was replaced by Atletico Madrid full back Felipe Luis for both game, but Tite has confirmed that Marcelo will be back for the Quarter final tie with Belgium.
"Marcelo was forced off due to an injury problem against Serbia and didn't play against Mexico because he could only play for 45 minutes," Tite told a press conference prior to the game.
"Now I've talked to both him and Filipe Luis, who has done very well, but Marcelo is going to play, while Fernandinho will take [the suspended] Casemiro's place."
The former Corinthians coach went on to talk about his team progress in the ongoing tournament.
"The characteristics of our players cover all styles, as we have the speed to counterattack in transition and we also have good one-on-one players up front," he added.
"The objective is to keep growing in the World Cup and to play better every day. "What makes me very happy is that in every game, all the players who came from the bench did very well and that means we are very good."
The match is scheduled for 7:00pm Nigerian time on Friday.
