Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side fell to their fifth defeat of the Premier League season against Everton on Sunday, with 18-year-old Tom Davies one of the match's heroes with his stunning goal.
Ronald Koeman - Guardiola's former Barcelona teammate - gave the teenager an opportunity in the weekend's clash and the youngster delivered by netting the third goal in the Toffees' 4-0 victory.
"He is that type of midfield player that we like because he is aggressive," the Dutch coach said of Davies after the match, with the player's performance praised by many others across the country.
The youngster has spoken of his love of Barcelona, who he considers 'the best team' and he has demonstrated a mix of his idols Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta's main qualities.
Although his primary position is that of defensive midfield, the Englishman is also confident going forward and is more than capable of dribbling past players.
Everton recently gave him a five-year contract and, as such, the future is bright for the player and for the Merseyside club's midfield, while it could be great news for the England national team too.
