Aaron Ramsey could be allowed go to Juventus this month if Arsenal can complete loan deals for Barcelona’s Denis Suarez and Bayern Munich’s James Rodriguez. The London club are currently working on those two temporary signings, while Ramsey has already completed a medical with Juventus, with his current deal at the Emirates set to run out at the end of the season. Arsenal would be willing to let him go for a fee of around £10m to start planning for the future if they can secure both deals. The signing of Suarez however currently looks more likely than Rodriguez.
While the principles of a deal with Barca are currently in place, there is as yet no agreement on the loan fee, and some minor details included in negotiations. The 25-year-old midfielder is still expected to eventually to make the move this window. As reported by The Independent on Monday, Arsenal have already investigated the possibility of taking Rodriguez on loan, and both Bayern Munich and his parent club Real Madrid would be open to a deal.
Sources close to the player say he prefers a return to Madrid to try and prove himself at the club he joined in 2014, but that may be futile as they press ahead with the attempted purchases of Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard. Another player on his way out of Arsenal meanwhile could be Mohamed Elneny, who has barely featured under Unai Emery. The Egyptian international has attracted interest from both Southampton and Leicester City.
