Former Borussia Dortmund coach has reportedly agreed a two-year deal to become Paris Saint-Germain’s new head coach at the end of the season, claims German outlet BILD.
The German coach was sacked by Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season and he has been out of work since then. He was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League since then but it seems the next team he will be managing will be in France.
PSG are expected to sack Emery at the end of the season following two underwhelming years at the club. The French giants lost out on the league title to Monaco last season before making Neymar and Kylian Mbappe the two most expensive signings of all-time last summer.
However, Emery’s side crashed out of this season’s Champions League at the round of 16 and now PSG are set to pull the trigger and change direction. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been heavily linked with the top job at the Parc des Princes but it appears they have now turned to free agent Tuchel.
The German will be given an initial two years to prove his worth to the club but will have an option to a further 12 months if things go according to plan. Tuchel is widely regarded as one of the most exciting managers in Europe after enhancing his reputation during his two-year stint at Dortmund.
