UEFA Europa League Final: Olympique Marseille vs Atletico Madrid

3 weeks from now  Raphael   Sport News

The only trophy Fernando Torres has ever won with Atletico Madrid was the second division title in 2001/02, but El Nino could lift the 15 kilograms of the Europa League trophy this Wednesday evening in his penultimate match with Los Rojiblancos.

A victory against Marseille won't, though, only be a big deal for Torres, as players like Antoine Griezmann are similarly desperate to start filling their trophy cabinets.

The No.7 has only won the 2014 Supercopa de Espana with Atletico, the last trophy the capital city side won.

Diego Simeone's men will be determined to bring some silverware back from Lyon and to send Torres off on a high, even if the veteran striker is unlikely to play a big role, if he plays at all.

It should be Griezmann and Diego Costa up front for Los Colchoneros, with Torres only likely to feature as a substitute.

Further back, there are a number of question marks over Atletico's line-up and Simeone will have to pick between Juanfran and Sime Vrsaljko at right-back, between Jose Maria Gimenez and Stefan Savic at centre-back, between Lucas Hernandez and Filipe Luis at left-back and between Gabi and Thomas in the middle.

No matter who plays, the commitment and the desire to leave everything on the Stade de Lyon pitch will be the same.
