UEFA Player of the year awards

After dominating the European football for the last three years, Real Madrid are once again dominating the European football award as they produced two players in the three man nominees for the UEFA's Player of the Year award.

Last season’s winners Real Madrid are duly represented by Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah completing the three man list.

All the three nominees were participant in the final that was held in Kiev in May, with the winner to be announced on August 30 in an official UEFA ceremony, which will also involve a draw for the group stages for the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League competition.

Ronaldo will be hoping to win the award for the fourth time since the inception of the awards while the likes of Luka Modric and Mohamed Salah bagged their first nominations.
