Valverde to be approved as Barcelona coach after Copa final

1 month from now  Raphael   Sport News

Envious glances will be cast across the Clasico trenches when Barcelona finish their season and Real Madrid hog the limelight with their Champions League final in the coming weeks, but the Catalans plan on having their own fun with the impending announcement of new coach Ernesto Valverde.
The Athletic Club boss has now had his own departure from San Mames confirmed ahead of the expiration of his contract in Bilbao but the talk of the Camp Nou dressing room is already on the ex-Blaugrana player's appointment.
Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is due to meet the board on Monday and approve Valverde as Luis Enrique's successor, with a formal announcement planned in due course.
In fact, the 53-year-old is, as MARCA understands, already looking for school places around the area for his children.
While the Copa del Rey final naturally grabs the Azulgrana supporters attention for the final week of the campaign, there appears to be much emphasis on 2017/18 already and a number of players have asked LaLiga colleagues for reports on what Valverde is like as a coach.
Of course, managing the Blaugrana squad will be unlike any task the former forward has overseen before, especially with those who have spent three years being unfavoured under Luis Enrique keen to make a good first impression.
