Raphael Varane is the latest player to renew his contract at Real Madrid after he agreed a new deal that will keep him at Bernabeu until 2022, the club announced.

The news comes on the back of several other players that have renewed during September including Isco, Benzema and Marcos Llorente.
Varane has become a key player at the back for Zidane since the departure of Pep and he is also a valuable member of the French squad despite being still only 24 years old.
He was personally sought by Zidane, with Real bringing him in from Lens having played few games for the Ligue 1 side and his capture has paid off with Varane helping Madrid to make history in recent seasons.
