Arsene Wenger was happy to enter the debate provoked by Jose Mourinho over Manchester City's spending by claiming Arsenal compete each season with clubs that have more money.
After watching his Manchester United side only draw at home to Burnley on Tuesday, he said that the 286 million spent by the Old Trafford club since he arrived last season was not enough with City spending prices usually reserved for strikers on fullbacks.
"I have been in this position for 21 years and so I am not going to start complaining now," said Wenger, an arch-rival of Mourinho, with the pair having had many spats down the years.
"There has always been a team, at times four, that have been richer than us, and I have grown to live with that. City are richer, Chelsea are richer, United are richer but still I am confident in finding the route to success.
