Wenger reacts to Barca's performance against Slavia Prague

6 months from now  Raphael   Sport News

Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that Barcelona are too reliant on Lionel Messi to do good, arguing they've lost the charisma that made them so feared. The Catalans dropped Champions League points on Tuesday as they were held at home by Slavia Prague as they continue to struggle with something of an identity crisis.
"They're an interesting case," Wenger said to beIN Sports on Tuesday.
"They have a history of being a brilliant collective, and Messi was on top of it all to make the difference.
"But today it seems that they play waiting for Messi. They were a fantastic team, but they've lost their charisma and they have to wonder about how much they've been affected by their failures in the Champions League [against Roma and then Liverpool].
"From the outside it seems like they've lost their charisma."
