In comments to Tuttomercato, Antonio Zaza, Simone's father and agent, put an end to any talk of the Italian striker moving to Valencia.
The player was close to making the move but will instead remain in Italy most likely as a final deal fell through once Italian coach Cesare Prandelli was out of the picture.
"I'm a bit disappointed because I thought Simone would end up a Valencia player," the agent said. "I can say for a fact that there are Italian teams who want him.
"Genova or Fiorentina? We'll see soon enough."
