Real Madrid will not take Sergio Reguilon on their pre-season tour to Canada and the United States, with the left-back on the verge of completing a loan move to Sevilla. The 22-year-old is set to join the Andalusian side on a one-year loan without an option to buy as Madrid want him to be a part of their plans after the 2020/21 campaign.
COPE revealed that Zinedine Zidane will be taking 30 players on the tour, with 26 of those being part of the current first-team squad, and the fact that Reguilon is not included would make it appear as though an agreement has been reached between Los Blancos and Sevilla.
Reguilon has already played under Julen Lopetegui, with the Basque coach bringing him into the Madrid first team at the start of last season, while the defender himself believes that going to Sevilla is a great opportunity for him to showcase his talents. At the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, Reguilon will compete with Sergio Escudero for a starting spot.
