Timo Werner scored two first-half penalties as Chelsea maintained their unbeaten start in Champions League Group E with a 3-0 win over Rennes on Wednesday.
After the match, Werner reveals what Frank Lampard told him about penalties before the game against the French Ligue 1 side.
Chelsea striker Timo Werner, speaking to BT Sport: “We had a very good game today. The two penalties right. We got with 2-0 at half time, very good. The red card. Also good for me is we had one more player in the pitch and could control it from behind.
“Before the game the manager said when there is a penalty I should take it. Two today is crazy, not all days. I take it and good goals for a striker but hopefully I can go on like this.
“I am happy, I am happy Jorginho is cool with it. It is another point that speaks for our team, we are not selfish. We all go in one direction which is good.
“Now we want to win the group.”
