Manchester United put yet another great game yesterday as they thrashed Basaksehir 4-1 at Old Trafford. A brace from Bruno Fernandes with lone strikes from Marcus Rashford and Daniel James gave United the deserved win over the Turkish side.
Despite the win, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that his team received bad news after the game. The United manager confirmed that two of his players suffered an injury in the game and he had no choice but to substitute them.
Solskjaer in his interview after the game confirmed that both Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were injured and he wishes he can have them back before their Premier League game this weekend.
On the injuries for Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka: “Hopefully they’ll be ready for the weekend – it’s ankle for Aaron and back for Victor. There was no point taking anymore risks.”
On progression to the last 16: “We need one point, but of course we want to be top of the group but we’ll take it one game at a time.”
