Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players in the history of football, and it is not new that most footballers dreamt of playing alongside the Portuguese ace.
Ronaldo dumped Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid to secure a move to Italian Serie A side, Juventus in 2018 summer.
Ronaldo’s move to Juventus in 2018 affected Chelsea in a way, as their plan to sign one of the prospects in football ended.
RADU DRAGUSIN was poised to join Chelsea in 2018 but rejected the offer to join Juventus instead as he wants to fulfil his dream of playing alongside Ronaldo.
Dragusin was 16 years old as at that time he joined the Serie A giants after emerging as a top youth prospect in Romania.
According to his agent, Florin Manea in 2020, the young defender could have joined the Blues in 2018 but, Ronaldo’s move to the Biaconneri confirmed his client’s decision to move to Turin.
Dragusin finally achieved his long-term dream when he was 18 years old as he made his debut for Juventus against Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Champions League on the 2nd December, 2020 with Ronaldo also scoring a goal in the same fixture. He followed that up with his Serie A debut against Genoa 11 days later.
Chelsea could have had one of the top football prospects in their ranks but Ronaldo’s move to Juventus deprived them the opportunity.
