Frank Lampard has been sacked as Chelsea first team coach despite winning his last game in-charge of the club.
Chelsea secured a 3-1 win over Luton Town in the FA Cup fourth-round tie but the win could not save Lampard from the Blues board hammer.
Lampard’s Chelsea are languishing in 9th place on the Premier League despite spending a fortune in the summer transfer window.
They got the likes of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell, Edouard Mendy, Thiago Silva.
Chelsea released an official statement on their website to announce Lampard’s departure.
“Chelsea Football Club have today parted company with Head Coach Frank Lampard,” the club stated.
According to reports, Thomas Tuchel is set to named as the Blues new manager.
