Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Real Madrid star Raphael Varane after reaching an agreement with the Spanish giants.
Varane has been linked with a move to Manchester United for some days now after refusing to sign a new deal with Real Madrid.
The French international refused Madrid offer of a new contract as he claimed he wants to try a new challenge after spending several years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Varane becomes the second top player to leave Madrid this summer after the club’s former captain Sergio Ramos left the club for French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain.
The World cup winner will team up with his fellow countryman Paul Pogba at United, but the latter’s future at the club is still in doubt as he’s being linked with a move to PSG.
Varane enjoyed a successful spell while he was at Real Madrid winning 18 titles and will hope to replicate the same feat at Manchester United.
