Peterborough have signed left-back Zak Sturge on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea.
Chelsea released an official statement on their website to confirm Sturge’s loan move to Peterborough.
“Zak Sturge has completed a season-long loan to Peterborough United,” the club confirmed.
“The young defender heads to the League One side for his first taste of senior football, having impressed for both our Under-18 and Under-21 sides since joining from Brighton.
“Sturge, who can play in the centre of defence or as an attack-minded left-back, will team up with Darren Ferguson’s side and could make his debut against Portsmouth this weekend.
