Barcelona has confirmed the signing of a new defender ahead of next season. The Catalans signed Senegalese defender Mikayil Faye from NK Kustosija Zagreb for an undisclosed fee.
The young defender signed a four years deal with the Blaugrana, with the club including a 400 million euros buy out clause in his contract.
Barcelona released an official statement on their website to confirm the signing of Mikayil Faye from NK Kustosija Zagreb.
“FC Barcelona and NK Kustosija Zagreb have reached an agreement for the player Mikayil Faye for the next four seasons, until 30 June 2027 with a buy out clause of 400 million euros,” the club confirmed.
“The player has undergone the requisite medical tests at Barcelona Hospital and the FC Barcelona Medical Services at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, visited the Club’s facilities and stepped out on to the field at the Estadi Johan Cruyff dressed in a Barça shirt. As such, all that remains is the official signing of his contract.”
