Manchester United are set to face Leicester City in their next English Premier League match this season, but they have been dealt with a huge blow ahead of the game.
The Red Devils will be without one of their top players for this particular tie. United defender Raphael Varane will not be available for the game after getting injured while on international duty with his country, France.
Varane was diagnosed with a groin muscle injury suffered against Spain in the UEFA Nations League final.
The Frenchman’s injury adds more problems to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s selection with the club captain Harry Maguire also ruled out of the tie against his former team.
The club released an official statement to confirm that Varane will be out of action for few weeks.
Solskjaer, who has been under a lot of criticism recently will turn his hopes on Victor Lindelof and the forgotten Eric Bailly for the time being.
Manchester United’s October fixtures are top games but will have to do without their starting defenders.
