Barcelona are already making plans for next as they confirmed their second summer signing.
The Catalans confirmed the signing of Sergio Kun Aguero yesterday, who joined the La Liga giants from Manchester City.
This morning, the Blaugranas have confirmed the signing of Eric Garcia from Manchester City also.
The Spanish international joins Barcelona on a free transfer after his contract with the Cityzens expired.
The 20-year-old defender returns to his former club which will see him compete for the first team shirt with the likes of Clement Lenglet, Gerard Pique, Oscar Miguenza, Ronald Araujo.
Barcelona confirmed the signing of Garcia on Tuesday morning with an official statement released on their website.
“FC Barcelona and Eric Garcia have reached an agreement for the player to join the Club from 1 July one his contract with Manchester City is at an end,” the club stated.
Barcelona went further to confirm that the defender signed a five-year deal with a buy out clause of 400 million euros included in his contract.
The player will sign a contract until the end of the 2025/26 season and his buy out clause is set at 400 million euros,” the club added.
Garcia will team up with his new teammates after the conclusion of Euros 2020 as he was selected on Luis Enrique’s team to feature in the tournament.
