Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei has left the club to join the English side Reading on loan for the rest of the season. The young midfielder has been impressive for the Blues development squad this season but has failed to break into the team.
Chelsea released an official statement on their website to announce Casadei’s loan move to Reading for the rest of the season.
“Young midfielder Cesare Casadei has moved on loan to Reading in the Championship for the rest of the 2022/23 season,” the club confirmed.
“The Italy Under-21 international, who turned 20 earlier this month, joined Chelsea from Inter Milan at the start of the current campaign and has featured regularly for our development squad during the first half of the season.
“Casadei has scored five times in 13 appearances – all of which have come from the start – for Mark Robinson’s side across the Premier League 2 and Papa John’s Trophy, in addition to being part of the group that travelled with Graham Potter’s squad for a winter training camp in Abu Dhabi last month.”
