La Liga coach, Oscar Garcia has been sacked Celta Vigo. He becomes the first coaching casualty of the 2020/21 season in La Liga Santander.
Celta Vigo played out a 1-1 draw in their last game in La Liga against newly promoted side Elche.
Oscar won eight games, drew 17 and was defeated 13 times in his 38 games in charge at the Balaidos.
Celta Vigo released an official statement on their website to announce the sacking of Oscar Garcia.
“Oscar Garcia Junyent and his coaching staff will not continue to lead the bench of RC Celta,” the club stated.
“The club expresses its most sincere gratefulness, so much to the Catalan trainer as to his collaborators, for his work, professionalism and effort demonstrated during his stage in the RC Celta, in which they managed to certify the permanency in a complicated season 2019/20.
“RC Celta wishes Óscar García and his assistants the biggest success in the future, both professionally and personally.”
