Ipswich have signed Manchester United defender Brandon Williams on a season-long loan. Williams made five appearances for the Red Devils across pre-season this summer and will bring a wealth of Championship experience with him, having spent the 2021/22 campaign on loan with Town’s local rivals Norwich City.
The 22-year-old, who has made more than 50 appearances for United, becomes Town’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
The move to Portman Road sees Williams reunite with Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna having previously worked together both in the youth and first-team setups at Old Trafford.
