Manchester United are back to winning ways as they defeated Brentford 3-0 in their English Premier League tie at Old Trafford on Monday evening. Goals from Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane gave the Red Devils the deserved win over the Bees.
After the game, Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick shower praises on Bruno Fernandes for a wonderful performance and also reacted to the team’s performance in general.
Man Utd interim manager Ralf Rangnick, speaking to BBC Sport: “We deserved to win, it was a decisive victory. We could have scored two or three more goals. Defensively we still had one or two gaps but not as many as in some other games. You could see that the players had come toegther, that they liked playing with each other. We had three creative central midfield players on the pitch and that helped us on the ball.
“I was very happy that Bruno scored and he had a better performance than in the last couple of games. That was an important issue for the development of the game tonight.”
Asked about players who missed the game: “With Jadon [Sancho] it’s unlikely [he’ll play again this season]. He was in hospital until this afternoon. Harry Maguire might be available again.”
