Manchester United new manager Ralf Rangnick is reportedly interested in signing Chelsea star Timo Werner in the January transfer window, according to BILD.
Werner, who joined Chelsea in 2020, has seen his place in the starting XI come under serious threat since the arrival of Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan last summer.
The Chelsea striker has played under Rangnick during his time with RB Leipzig and the new Manchester United coach is still interested in working with him in England.
The 63-year-old is yet to know if Chelsea would agree to sell Werner in January but there is a possibility Manchester United try again in the summer if Blues reject their bid for the German international this period.
Another player who has caught the eye of the United interim boss is Mali international and Werner’s former teammates Amadou Haidara.
