Chelsea continue their bad run as they failed to win the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter final clash against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge. The Blues lost 3-1 to Los Blancos on Wednesday evening.
Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema took the game on his head as he scored three goals against Edouard Mendy with German international Kai Havertz also getting a goal for the Blues.
After the game, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel reacts to his team’s performance against Carlo Ancelotti’s men and also reveals the mistake he made in his choice of player in the match.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, speaking to BT Sport: “It is a heavy loss. It was one of the worst first halves that I saw from us here at Stamford Bridge. Individually and as a team it was by far not enough. It was far from our standards and then you lose games.
