In his pre-match interview Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri revealed that Cesc Fabregas is out of their Premier League clash against the midfielder’s former club Arsenal at Stamford on Saturday through knee injury.
The Spaniard has been missing from the Chelsea team since their preseason game against Olympique Lyonnais and also missed their first game of the season against Huddersfield Town in the EPL.
Sarri also confirms that he is confident that Eden Hazard will stay at the club with the forward linked with a move away from the club as reports have it that Real Madrid are interested in the Belgian.
He also added that he was worried about Alvaro Morata who has failed to impress leading Chelsea’s attack.
“I have spoken to Eden very often in the last 10 days but he has never said to me anything about this (leaving),” Sarri said during his pre-match interview.
“I am sure Eden will be with us for this season.” “I am to worried about Morata. In this moment, he needs only to gain confidence. He is a great player.”
The Italian manager also believes that Unai Emery’s team can challenge for the Champions league spot.
“Unai Emery is a very good coach, he won the Europa League three times, he won in France with PSG and Arsenal this season will be competitive. They will be able to fight for a place in the Champions League.
