Mourinho: Super players have feelings, I think the penalty affected him

1 month from now  Raphael   Sport News

There has been much talks about the Argentina -Iceland game on Saturday, which the major talking points of the game was the penalty kick lost by Lionel Messi in the 64th minute.

The penalty loss happened to be a blessing to the Iceland team as they begin their first world cup match with a draw against one of the strong sides in the history of the tournament. Argentina couldn't break the Iceland’s sturdy lines and ended up with a 1-1 draw, while their defence hardly provided any space to Messi.

Jose Mourinho was not left out in commenting on how Lionel Messi will feel after invariably letting his team down by losing the spot-kick.

"Probably even with supermen, even with super players, they are humans, they have feelings and I think the penalty affected him," Mourinho told RT.

La Albiceleste will take on Croatia on Thursday, who are currently the Group D leaders after defeating Nigeria 2-0 on Friday. The Match might turn out to be the decider of the group D winner.
