Mahrez joins Manchester City

2016 African footballer of the year Riyad Mahrez has switched sides from 2016 premier league champions Leicester City to the current Premier league champions Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola admitted before the start of the summer transfer window that his club won’t make a major signing in the summer but the blue side of Manchester have announced the capture of former PFA player of the year, Mahrez.

After failing with a January offer for the Leicester City forward, City have returned with a £60 million offer that breaks their own club record for an incoming player. They are still hoping to sign Jorginho from Napoli but as it stands the 27-years old is the only signing made by the club this summer.
