Wilshere joins Westham

Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has joined the Hammers for free after failing to renew his contract with Arsenal. The England international signed a three –year deal with the London club that already acquired the services of Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager.

"It feels special. Many people know that I've had a special bond with this club growing up," he said. "I've got good memories of my childhood supporting West Ham, watching them at Upton Park."

Wilshere is set to fly to Switzerland to link up with new West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini's squad at the club's pre-season training camp. Despite his career being badly affected by injuries, the Hammers are confident Wilshere can make a meaningful contribution to a squad being overhauled by Pellegrini.
