Liverpool have been in great form since last season which has also transit to this season. The Merseyside Red made it into the final of the Champions league last season but lost to European giants Real Madrid.

In an interview with Spanish media company Marca at the release of the New Balance Furon 4.0 and Tekela 1.0 boots took place, Sadio Mane dispute the fact that they are there already as he insisted they are still work in progress.

When you were 15 years old, you went from your town to Dakar, the capital of Senegal, and your coach mentioned that you were wearing broken boots. Now you have some of the best in the market. How has that Mane changed to this Mane?

"Above all, I believe that I made my dream come true, and that is what all young people should pursue." Surely you are an inspiration for many African players, and workers in general, who come to Europe to try to break through.

What would you advise them?

"The advice I can give them, and not only to the future players, but to anyone who comes to Europe, is very simple: try to work to achieve what you want. When you are young, you have dreams, and you must remember that you have to work hard and do everything possible to achieve them: be positive and train hard. That's the only thing I've been focused on to get where I am. Believe in yourself and do everything that is in your hands."

Liverpool have not won the league since 1990. What does your team lack to be crowned domestic champions?

"It is a great challenge, and it is true that we have won trophies, but not the Premier League. It's part of this game and we have to fix it this year. That is why we have signed great players and it is a great challenge to attempt to storm the Premier League. Liverpool are a great club. We want to do something special, but without excessive pressure. Now everyone is talking about us, but we have to be calm and take it game by game. Let's not talk about trophies now, it's early. This has just begun."

Personally, would you prefer to win the Champions League or the Premier League?

"Both, as a big club like Liverpool should go for the two competitions."

What excites you about your coach, Jurgen Klopp?

"Everyone knows and speaks wonders of his personality. He is a guy who loves what he does, who motivates you, who improves you all the time. He raises your level on the pitch. He has a special relationship with the players and that motivates us."

How has he improved you as a footballer?

"Of course I got better, I learned a lot and I'm very lucky to have him [as a coach]."

Is this Liverpool stronger than last season?

"We may be in the future. We are trying to play better and better every day, but it is you who has to judge whether this is better or not. It will not be easy." You scored 10 goals in the Champions League and 10 in the Premier League.

Do you think you can improve on these figures?

"Yes, I will try, I am still young and can learn. But that's not important. The essential thing is to improve as a team and to contribute more and more."

Ronaldinho was your idol. Who is your current one?

"He was the player who inspired me, yes. Right now I do not have a special one, but I have a group of players that I learn from. There are many great ones."

One last question: you are very fast and your teammate [Mohamed] Salah, too. Have you won a race?

[Laughter] "Yes, of course, I'm faster. Maybe not in short distances, but in 100 or 200 meters I win for sure [laughs]."
