Real Madrid hunt for a new goal keeper

Keylor Navas hopes of keeping his position as the first team shot-stopper in Real Madrid was under threat after the resignation of Zinedine Zidane a few days ago. The Los Blancos have been linked with various goalkeeper all around Europe after low par performances from the Costa Rican but the former Real Madrid coach kept faith in the former Levante goalie.

They were close in agreeing on a deal with Manchester United for David De Gea back in 2016 but the deal fell through in the last minute due to incomplete papers. Even in the January transfer window, they were close to securing the services of the Spanish national team third choice goalkeeper Kepa but Zizou goes against the acquisition of the Athletic Bilbao’s player.

With the announcement of Zidane’s replacement yesterday who happens to be the current Spanish national team’s coach Julen Lopetegui, the news of bringing a new shot-stopper to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu have been rekindled with latest rumours linking Alisson Becker and current Spain’s number 1 David De Gea.

The arrival of Lopetegui to the Madrid bench has generated fear at Manchester United in case Real decide to try again for David De Gea, and they know Julen is a fan of De Gea and they are scared he will do all his best to convince the EPL best goalkeeper to join him at Madrid.

Alisson Becker, on the other hand, is a good option for the Los Blancos as he was arguably the best player for AS Roma during their UCL course, helping his team to the semi-finals in which they lost to Liverpool but he was the goalkeeper with the highest save in the competition and he has been linked with a summer move to either Liverpool or Real Madrid.
